Bowling

Indoor bowls is a great way to exercise if you don’t want something that is too strenuous, if you don't want a sport that is too weather dependant, is sociable, fun to play, is affordable and promotes good health then bowls could be the sport for you.
Brampton Golf Club

Our club was founded in 1909 and Golf World has described Brampton Golf Club as ‘The Jewel of Cumbria’ with comments likening the course to a ‘mini Gleneagles’ and we were also pleased to be rated and featured in Golf Monthly’s 100 Hidden Gems.
Golf is a great game for everyone. It’s fun, it gets you fit, reduces stress and takes you outdoors.

Tai Chi

Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, tai chi is now practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise. While there's scope for more rigorous research on tai chi's health benefits, studies have shown that it can help to reduce stress, improve posture, balance and general mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs.
