Coffee Mornings & Community Lunches
Cumwhitton Parish

Cumhitton Parish has been holding regular a Coffee Morning in the Village Hall on the last Thursday of each month since 2016 with between 35 and 55 people attending. They range in age from babies and toddlers to 97 and those less or more than those ages are very welcome.
The aim of the morning is to strengthen our community and give support where it is needed. If someone is ill or infirm a “Thinking of You” plate of cake is delivered giving time for a chat. We have a great bunch of cake bakers and there is always a delightful spread to tempt attendance.
There is no charge but folk often leave a donation. After we have paid for the cost of hiring the Village Hall, remaining money is banked. In November and December those attending the coffee morning can nominate local charities and in January all folk vote. The two charities receiving the most notes receive an equal share and then we start afresh for the next year.
Coffee Mornings are held on the last Thursday of the month (the December event may change depending on what day Christmas falls.
We hope to see you.
